Terms of Service
Last updated: May 22, 2026
Terms for using LocalPrivate Tools, including local processing boundaries, accounts, payment, acceptable use, browser support, and disclaimers.
Agreement
These Terms of Service govern access to and use of LocalPrivate Tools, including the website, App workspace, licenses, documentation, and related services.
By using the service or purchasing a license, you agree to these Terms. If you use the service on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
Products
LocalPrivate Tools includes Local PII Redactor, Local Data Workbench, and PrivateDocs AI. The products are browser-based tools designed to process private files locally where supported by the browser.
Local processing boundary
The App workspace is designed so user files, parsed content, redaction previews, SQL results, document chunks, embeddings, prompts, answers, and exported reports are not sent to our content-processing servers.
Some network requests are still allowed: static assets, WASM files, model weights, license checks, payment flows, account authentication, and limited non-content metadata needed for free quota, abuse prevention, support, or license management.
Accounts and licenses
Some features require a light account, a valid signed license, or both. You are responsible for keeping your account access secure and for not sharing license material outside your permitted use.
License status may be checked online. A refunded, revoked, fraudulent, expired, or otherwise invalid license may be disabled on the next online sync.
Payments
Payments are processed through Creem. Prices, taxes, currency conversion, invoices, receipts, payment methods, chargebacks, and refund processing may be handled through Creem systems.
A successful payment does not remove your responsibility to follow these Terms, the License Terms, and applicable law.
Refunds
Our standard refund policy is a 7-day refund window from the date of purchase, subject to the Refund Policy, applicable law, fraud checks, chargeback rules, and Creem procedures.
After a refund, your license will be marked as refunded or revoked and you must stop using paid features.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the service to violate laws, infringe rights, distribute malware, bypass security, or attack third-party systems.
- Do not resell, sublicense, rent, host, or expose the App as a service for third parties unless we provide written permission.
- Do not share license files, activation links, signed license payloads, or account access with people who are not allowed to use them.
- Do not attempt to bypass free limits, device limits, payment flows, license checks, revocation checks, or abuse-prevention controls.
Browser support
The paid product target is the latest desktop versions of Chrome and Microsoft Edge. Other browsers may work in part, but they are not part of the formal support commitment unless we say otherwise.
Heavy local features may require modern browser APIs such as Web Workers, WASM, IndexedDB, Cache API, OPFS, and WebGPU.
No professional advice
LocalPrivate Tools can help inspect, redact, analyze, and review files, but it does not provide legal, compliance, financial, medical, security audit, or professional advice.
PII detection, OCR, document extraction, local AI answers, and generated reports can be incomplete or incorrect. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them or sharing files.
Service changes
We may improve, change, remove, or limit features as the product evolves. We may update pricing, free limits, supported browsers, model options, or license procedures for future purchases or major versions.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to accounts, licenses, or services where we believe there is fraud, abuse, chargeback misuse, license sharing, security risk, legal risk, or violation of these Terms.
Disclaimers
The service is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, and error-free results.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LocalPrivate Tools will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill.
Before launch, counsel should add the final liability cap, mandatory consumer-law carveouts, governing law, venue, and dispute-resolution language.
